Pinson Mounds State Archaeological Park as we celebrate World Bee Day by doing a virtual or in-person 5K! The proceeds from this 5K will benefit our Honey Project, which helps establish honey bee hives and maintain them. Check out the Honey Project

This event is open to all skill levels who like to run, walk, or a combination of both!
REGISTRATION:Register any time between now to May 20, 2024.
Virtual 5K: The registration fee is $25. This fee includes a virtual bib, finishers medal, and a certificate for donating to the Honey Project. The race kicks off when you are ready to go any day between
May 11th and May 20th, either on a treadmill, around your neighborhood, or on any course you choose. You can log your time at any point during the week. We encourage everyone to complete your miles around May 20 in the spirit of celebrating World Bee Day!
In-Person 5K: The registration fee is $20. If you would like to complete your 5K on May 18th at the park, we encourage you to come out to
Pinson Mounds State Park and use the 5K course we have created at the park! Runners who complete their 5K at the park will be able to pick up their finisher medal between
8:00am- 4:30pm. This fee includes a virtual bib, finishers medal you will receive on May 20th when you complete the course at the park, and a certificate for donating to the Honey Project. Runners can start the route either at the Museum Parking area or the Group Camp Parking area. To complete the 5K, take the route once. The Duck Nest trail is a turnaround. At Mound 28, you must take the trail that goes behind the Mound. You can find the route here:

RULES:Entry fees are NON-REFUNDABLE
Registrations after May 5th are not guaranteed a medal.
Race swag will be sent out after race week.
HOW TO LOG YOUR TIME:
- Go to the Honey Bee results page, then select the results for Honeybee 5K. The ItsYourRace results page for the 5K will appear.
- Find your name in the results under Honeybee 5K. With your name, you will see an "Update Time" button. Click "Update Time".
- If you are not currently logged into ItsYourRace, a login window will appear. Log in using your ItsYourRace user ID and password.
- Enter your time and click the "Save Your Time" button.
